B.A.B.: Getting Closer

The fight continues! And the title is supposed to be "Brother Against Brother: Getting Closer"...but that was too long -.- It's because Leo and Mikey are getting closer to their brothers (so close you can almost see details on them!! ), but Don and Raph are also getting closer to each other...in a bad way.

Anyway, it followes what I started in Brother Against Brother ([link]) and now it won't leave me alone. I still don't know why I even did the first one to begin with. I even know what the next scene will be, but I still have no clue why they are fighting like this. Or how it wil end for that matter.

I've never drawn injuries before, so this was an experiment in a way. Wanted to make sure it couldn't be mistaken for a playful game or just plain training between the two, heh heh. The blood came out ok, but the bruises on Raph don't look so great...it's the green skin that threw me off. If only Don had a sharper weapon, cuts are easier to draw than bruises!

Oh, and you know how I put in very little effort in the background last time? Well, there was even less effort this time, because I took so long on just the turtles. No perspective or angles or anything. I intend to get it back in the next one though, if only for practise.

This also took me longer than the first, not sure why. Actually...I do know why, lol, it's those freakish poses I drew them in! >.< Raph could look protentially really silly lying on his back like this, but he's trying not to get his head bashed in at the moment, so you'll have to forgive him (and me ). Oh, Raph's other sai is in his left hand, so we can't see it, which is very convenient for me, but not so good for Donnie.

Sketched on paper, scanned in, inked and colored in Photoshop. Around 10+ hours?
